About Nanette

Nanette is an egg artist living and working from her studio in the mountains of southern New Mexico. Born and raised in California, Nanette and her family moved to New Mexico in the summer of 2007. She creates her egg art on the sturdy eggs of the local free-range chickens, using a wax and dye process similar to batik. She also designs unusual artisan jewelry from ostrich egg shells and sets them in sterling silver. You can view her work at her website: Enchanted Hen Productions or read her personal blog at NanetteThorell.com
